Explore the bookThe book examines in detail the criteria applied by the State of Emergency Commission and administrative courts when deciding applications and cases brought before them. It discusses whether applications to the Commission and administrative judiciary constitute an effective legal remedy; after setting out rights, freedoms, and guarantees protected by the Turkish Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights, it concludes that the Commission and administrative courts remain insufficient to remedy those violations.
